La Casita will host its annual opening event this fall presenting Corpórea, a bold new exhibit of paintings and mixed media works by members of our Latino community! Our creators participated in the Art as Mindfulness program with our team of local artists, staff, students, faculty and alumni from Syracuse University. This event culminates months of creative exploration centered on identity, resilience, and community with a collection of works that reflect shared experiences and deeply personal journeys of transformation. Corpórea honors the stories and strengths of our community.
This event is part of the 2025–26 Syracuse Symposium on Creativity presented by the Syracuse University Humanities Center, with generous support from the Pan African Community of Central New York (PACCNY) and the Latino-Latin American Studies Program at Syracuse University. Additional support comes from CNY Latino.
