2023 Best & Brightest Awards Applicants Sought

Attention all CNY 2023 high school seniors, The Post-Standard and Syracuse.com are seeking applicants for Best & Brightest Awards.

You’ve worked hard throughout your high school years and you deserve to be recognized for your achievements. Do you excel in academics, sports, theater? Are you a community or environmental activist? Have you done something to make Central New York a better place? We want to hear from you.

Best & Brightest recognizes the accomplishments of area high school seniors. While you may be off to college soon, you left your mark on our community and Central New York is undoubtedly better because of you!

Students can nominate themselves with an application, essay, letters of recommendation and details about their academic successes, extracurricular activity and service to their school and community. Eligible students include seniors with at least a B or 3.0 grade point average attending school in Section 3 (Cayuga, Cortland, Onondaga, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, Otsego counties).

Students are asked to write a personal narrative about their experiences.

Applications are now being accepted as of Aug. 15 through Oct. 15 and will be reviewed by a panel of community members and Syracuse.com and The Post-Standard staff members.

Winners will be announced during an award ceremony in Syracuse and featured in The Post-Standard and on Syracuse.com.
